Skylar Rains (b. 1998, New Orleans, LA) is an Atlanta-based interdisciplinary artist working in sculptural relief and material systems. Her practice explores the preservation of fragmented psychological ecosystems through layered, abstract forms.

Rains is a graduate of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and holds a BFA in Sculpture from the Savannah College of Art and Design (Atlanta). Following graduation, she built a career in custom fabrication, contributing to projects ranging from large-scale public art to sculptural installations for cultural institutions, private clients, and national brands.

She currently works as a fabricator and gallery director in the Atlanta area. Her recent projects include public artworks, experiential installations, and sculptural fabrication for artists and organizations nationwide.

Her ongoing body of work, The Specimen Series: A Dissection of Mind, Body, and Soul, serves as an archive of her inner landscape, examining emotion, ego death, and the quiet irony embedded in healing through her most conceptual practice to date.

Rains has exhibited nationally and has been featured in Visual Arts Journal (Volume 25). Her work is slated for a forthcoming digital billboard presentation in Times Square, New York (2026).
